BSMU established in 1944, Bukovinian State Medical University is a state owned university with partial autonomy. This institution is recognized/listed by the World Health Organization, International Association of Universities, European University Association, Medical councils of almost all major countries, including India, Sri Lanka, Malaysia, Bangladesh & others.
Faculties are available namely Medical, Pharmaceutical, Pre university studies, Post graduate studies. At present 50 Professors and more than 380 Assistant Professors (PhD) work fruitfully at 36 Departments of the Medical University. Medium of study available are Russian/English/French. Medical University is located in the magnificent core of Chernivtsy-city. This beautiful city with inimitable architekture, museums, shady alleys in its parks and public gardens, summer cafes.
Well equipped labs/clinics/polyclinics/hospitals/research centers are a clinical base for training. It has a library with lot of english books. The complex has Six Hostels, Sport Complex, Students' Club/cultural and scientific societies, Students' Recreation Centre .
“Taj Mahal" is situated inside the campus of Bukovinian State Medical University. Typical Indian food stuff is available in cafe.
