Gastronomy in Armenia


Armenia's gastronomy is varied and refined.

The original recipes of Armenia's have been enriched through the centuries due to the migrations of Armenia's population.

Armenians use many species in their dishes.

Some of their typical dishes are tolmas and pasus made with vegetables and legumes.

Another typical dish is plaki, made with fish and vegetables, tomatoes and onions and olive oil.

Burek are small pastries filled with meat, cheese or spinach.

Sudjuk are spicy sausages.

Kebabs are meat braised on open fired.

Armenians accompany there meals with Lavash, an unleavened bread.
