The northern region with 3 provinces, Cabinda, Zaire and Uíge, has a tropical appearance. There are wooded areas where coffee, cotton, sugar and palm oil are cultivated.
The south has rich land for agriculture located in the highland region in the provinces of Huambo, Bie and Huila.
