There are public and private hospitals. Usually the private hospitals are better equipped than the public ones.

If you have no health insurance, you will have one month to make payments for your health care.

Cosmetic surgery is very common in Argentina, even after the economic crisis.

The number of foreigners arriving in Argentina for cosmetic surgery continues to rise. This is due to the number of qualified specialists. Also the cost of this type of surgery in Argentina is lower than in the US or Europe.

There are cosmetic surgery clinics all over the country.

The most common surgeries are corrections of the eyelids, nose, lips, ears, face lifting, liposuction, and breast reconstruction, either enlargement or reduction.

Safety

Argentina’s cities are generally safe.

In Buenos Aires, the capital, you can walk safely in the streets until late at night.

Because of the economic crises that the country suffered recently, the country’s safety has been affected. You will find beggars asking for money in public places.

It is best not to display valuable objects openly and to always be accompanied.

Lately there have been more thefts in the homes and streets.

Smaller cities are quiet and residents are friendlier toward tourists.
