The Languages spoken in Argentina

The official language of Argentina is Spanish

The Spanish language was brought to Argentina by the explorers and immigrants who arrived in the country from Spain.

Almost all Argentineans speak Spanish as their primary language. There are several secondary languages, such as Italian, English, French, German, and the languages of the Native Argentineans, Quechua, Guaraní and Mapuche.

The Argentinean type of Spanish differs a little from the Spanish of Spain. The Argentinean Spanish sounds a little like Italian, due to the millions of Italian immigrants who added their own words and pronunciation as they were learning Spanish.
