Columbia has one of the well-developed air systems in the Latin American region. It has a total of 984 airports of which 74 can accommodate jet aircraft. International airports are mostly situated in key cities like Bogotá, Medellin, San Andres, Cali, Pereira, and Barranquilla with 40 regional airports all over the country. The El Dorado International Airport in Bogotá is the biggest airport in Latin America based on cargo transactions and 3rd in terms of passenger traffic. It handles an average of roughly 8 million passengers every year. The Metro de Medellin is a common and popular way to travel the metropolitan area of Medellin. It is a rapid railway transit with 2 lines and 3 Metrocable lines with a total of 31 stations. The city of Bogotá on the other hand is known for its rapid bus system called TransMilenio. The system has 8 lines – Av. Caracas, Calle 80, Autopista Norte, Av. Jimenez, NQS, Calle 13, Av. De las Americas, and Av. Suba; overall it has 114 stations.

Broadband Internet service has been accessible in Columbia since the late 1990’s. Major players in the market include the Teelcom/Telefonica, Empresa de Telecommunicaciones de Boogta, Empresas Publicas de Medellin, and Coldecon. Regional service providers are TV Cable SA, CableCentro, Cable Union de Occidente, TV Cable Promosion SA and Dinanet. Colombia has 4 major TV stations – Caracol TV, RCN TV, Senal Colombia and Canal Uno.
