Interesting locations in Cuba

Places include in the UNESCO World Heritage list are Old Havana and its Fortifications (located in Province of Ciudad de la Habana, 1982), Trinidad and the Valley de los Ingenios (located in the Province of Sancti Spiritus, 1988), San Pedro de la Roca Castle (Santiago de Cuba, 1997), Viñales Valley (Province of Pinar del Rio, 1999), Desembarco del Granma National Park (in south-east region, 1999), Archaeological Landscape of the First Coffee Plantations (South-Eastern region, 2000), Alejandro de Humboldt National Park (Guantánamo and Holguín Provinces, 2001), Urban Historic Centre (in Cienfuegos, 2005) and Historic Centre (Camagüey Province, 2008).

Museums found in the country are Ernest Hemingway (collections include books, documents, photographs and properties), Havana Museum (has a collection of great historical value furniture, paintings, porcelains, silver and bronze objects), Humour Museum (dedicated to the conservation, propagation of literary, graphical and newspaper humors), Oscar Maria de Rojas (has a significant collection of , butterflies, snails and other insects) and Provincial Museum of Holguin (has a collection related to the independence wars, weapons, historical documents and properties of the Cuban nationalist).

Some of the famous beaches in the country include Cayo Coco (a white sand beach which is located in central Cuba and popular for its splendor all inclusive resorts), Santa María del Mar (a sandy beach sited in east of Havana), Guanabo (situated within the city of Habana del Este and with a few hotels), Guardalavaca (city in the Holguín Province and popular to its warm waters and white sandy beaches) and Cayo Saetia (located in Holguin Province).

Other tourist attractions are the Cuban National Zoo (the place is one of the traveling bird’s corridors and also consists of African savanna, antelopes, elephants, giraffes, hippopotamus, zebras and etc.) and Bellamar Caves (underground rivers, ponds and crystal sculptures inside the caves).
