Getting Visas to Cyprus


Nationals of the following countries are not required to obtain a tourist visa: Australia, Brazil , Britain , Brunei , Canada , Chile , Costa Rica , El Salvador , Hong Kong , Iceland , Israel , Japan , Macao , Malaysia , Mexico , New Zealand , Norway , Panama , Poland , Singapore , Switzerland , Uruguay , Vatican City , Venezuela , United State of America and other EU states.

The cost for tourist and business visa is C£6; multiple-entry visa costs C£20, which is issued for business purposes only. Charge for airport transit is C£6. Free of charge for tourist and business visa to nationals of Ukraine, Syrian Arab Republic, Russian Federation, and Egypt provided that they holding return tickets and enough money to expend during the period of their visit. Validity of tourist and business visa is 3 months and for transit it is 5 days.

The following are requirements for tourist visa: visa application form, valid passport (6 months validity), photographs passport size, evidence of enough funds to spend during the period of stay, confirmation of hotel reservation, copy of round trip ticket and fee (to be paid by postal order and cash only).

For student visa, the requirements are the same for tourist visa and in addition, an admission letter from an educational institution and proof of academic degrees. While the additional requirements for business visa are business letter with company letterhead indicating the purpose, duration of the visit, name and address of the company to be visited, official letter invitation and a financial assurance from the company.
