Health and Safety in Denmark
Medical services are well developed in Denmark and high quality medical care is available. Primary care facilities, health insurance, and community care are the responsibility of the Ministry of Social Affairs. Anyone can go to a physician for no fee and the public health system entitles each Dane to his/her own doctor.
There are no major health risks in Denmark. Community sanitation is generally good, and health concerns related to foods and beverages are minimal.
Denmark is relatively safe though petty crimes may occur. Be careful of pickpockets and purse snatchers.
