Health and Safety in Finland

Medical services are excellent and you will be assured of a superior level of medical care. Primary healthcare is provided by municipal health centres. They are usually only open for specific hours on weekdays.

There are no major health risks in Finland. Sanitation mesures are good so there is no need for undue worry with food and drink. Avoid eating undercooked fish and roe though.

Finland has a relatively low crime rate. Exercise normal safety precautions against theft. Driving during the winter months can be hazardous because of low visibility.
