Finland shares land borders with Sweden to the west, Russia to the east, and Norway to the north while Estonia lies to its south. Finland is bounded by the Baltic Sea, with the Gulf of Finland to the south and the Gulf of Bothnia to the west.

Helsinki, the capital of Finland, is situated on the south coast of the country on the Bay of Finland. The capital plenty of cultural, educational and entertainment options and and the Helsinki metropolitan area is considered one of the most beautiful cityscapes in the world. Helsinki also has important cultural centers such as the National Museum of Finland, which displays a vast historical collection from prehistoric times to the 21st century, the Helsinki City Museum, and the University of Helsinki.
