Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan and its educational system had improved invariably since the middle of 1900s. The educational system is the main driving force behind the shift of the nation, from being agrarian to being an industrialized country. In what is known as the Arab World, Jordan educational system is recognized as the finest and one of the top educational systems among the developing countries.

In terms of number of researchers per million, Jordan still ranks the highest among the 57 countries that compose the Organization of Islamic Conference or OIC. This means per million people, there are 2,000 Jordanian researchers wherein the average only pertains to 500 researchers per million people. Jordan outranks more advanced countries like Italy, Greece, Israel and it is not at par with the United Kingdom and Ireland. Moreover, Jordan is regarded as the rank 90 out of 177 countries by the Human Development Index.

Jordan's Ministry of Education is very compelling as it managed to develop extremely advanced national curriculum. Interestingly, some nations within the region have picked Jordan educational system as their model in establishing their own curriculum. Hence, it is not surprising that students in Jordan are compute literate and are fully equipped in science and mathematic subjects because the curriculum is actually based on international standards. Programs developed under the Ministry of Education are fine-tuned and fully assessed and certain planning strategies, monitoring, evaluation, and strengthening steps are taken to maintain high standards in education.

The Jordanian Education Management System is composed of the Ministry of Education (MoE) and Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research (MoHESR) and both ministries work hand in hand to achieve commitment to excellence.
