Luxembourg, being in the upper part of the hemisphere, has four different seasons to enjoy. The months of November to January, in which winter falls, averages 0.8oC. This is great for everyone who wants to enjoy a white Christmas in the warmth of ancient castles and mystical churches. It is also in this time of year when the clear waters of the Mosselle River turns to crystal and the whole city is a cozy haven of white powder. You might want to bring your skis and snowboards for there are plenty of places and ice to go around.

In spring, luscious green steeps which adores the once contested kingdom, gives off a vibrant aura of life in Luxembourg. It is in these fields where great battles and wars were fought. The great historical relics can only be emphasized by the bright clear skies and the cool breeze that sweeps Luxembourg during this season.

June marks the great celebration for Luxembourg’s independence. As Luxembourgers celebrate their liberation, tourists and travelers start to flood these 1000 square miles of land. Summer is the most visited season in Luxembourg. It is in this time of year when the best wines and great beers come out. A visit to Luxembourg’s white shoreline is perfect for a 23oC temperature but is never complete without a cold bottle of beer. A bright and sunny day must never end without a glass of wine at the Place d'Armes. After all, Luxembourgers hold the record for the most gallons of beer consumed per person.

Beautiful sceneries, historic landmarks, established economy, good food and the best of alcohol are just few of the things that keep people coming to this small country in the heart of Europe. Just do not forget your umbrella during fall; Luxembourg is always blessed with rain during this season. The country’s average humidity is at 81% during the months of October and early November.
