Interesting locations in Monaco


Museums that are popular in the country are Oceanographic Museum (located in Monaco-Ville and has a collection of several species of sea fauna, sea animal skeletons, model ships, weapons, tools, etc.), Musée National de Monaco (a collection of automatons and dolls), Napoleon Museum (sited in Monte Carlo, a collection contains of historical objects which belonged to Napoleon I, French Emperor and clothing comes from the King of Rome), and the Stamp and Coin Museum (located in Les terrasses de Fontvieille).

Other interesting places in Monaco are the Prince's Palace of Monaco (established in 1911 and remains home of Prince of Monaco), Fontvieille Park (sited in Fontvieille and consists of plants and water pond with swans and ducks), Monte Carlo Casino (sited in Monte Carlo quarter and citizens of Monaco are not allowed to go to the game rooms), Cathedral of Monaco (built in 1875, Roman-Byzantine style and constructed with white stones that comes from La Turbie), and the Zoological Gardens (situated in Terrace of Fontvieille).

Some of the best beaches in the country that tourist might visit are Larvotto (is a public beach and sited in Monte Carlo), La Grande Plage (located in Biarritz and there are bars and restaurants close to the beach), Miramar (situated in Biarritz), Beach Plaza Sea Club (a private beach), and Monte-Carlo Beach Club (also a private beach). There are also lakes with beaches all through the Cote d'Argent and Cote Basque. To name some of the sandy beaches on lakes that features water sports are Azur, Hossegor, Leon, St. Paul les Dax, Soustons, Vielle - St. Girons and Vieux Boucau Lake.
