Getting visa to Mauritius requires several steps and procedures in order to achieve stay in the country. The visa is an official acknowledgement issued by the Immigration Office/Embassy/Consular of Mauritius which indicates that the application that the applicant submits has been renewed by the Immigration Officer and that it also determines that the visitor is eligible to enter or transit in Mauritius for a specific purpose. The visa is necessary for the bearer to travel to Mauritius up a port of entry and does not implicitly guarantee right of admission to Mauritius. An examination is given and the final decision to admit a non-citizen of the country is decided by the Immigration Officer. The officer decides then how long the person can stay in the country.
