Study, Work, Volunteer and Travel in Nicaragua

When Nicaragua was the center of guerilla warfare and freedom fighting, the real losers were no other than but the people. During those years, the people had nothing but strife and suffering. While the people were dying from poverty and illiteracy, the ruling family and their cohorts were living the life of kings and barons.

Now, with democracy in place and the government has nothing to do but see to the welfare of the people, progress would really depend on the people itself. The government can only really pave the way towards development but it is the people who should decide if indeed they want progress or not. Others always put the blame on the government when nothing is happening or when the country is stagnating but in truth, the power has always been with the people.

Right now, the government of Nicaragua has instituted the necessary reforms that developed countries did right before they took off. For instance, the country offers free educations up to secondary school, and because collectively they know that education is the key to progress, almost everyone in that country study well. Their right attitude paid off, as being one of aid recipient countries in Europe, now they are an aid provider, in a span of 5 years.

Nicaragua, blessed with breathtaking volcanoes, pristine beaches and a tourist friendly culture, it would not be surprising that the country will become a class A tourist destination in a few years time and build the economy from there.
