Television viewer’s measurements are important part for marketing and programming decisions. In 1995, the only company offering television viewer’s measurements is the Media fax. It is sponsored by numerous television channels and local marketing agencies that subscribe and pay the charge for these services. The public station is Channel 6. The programs on local Television stations are Spanish soaps, talk shows and comedies. The option to local television and program is cable television which is growing rapidly.

Internet access is accessible in all metropolises and large towns; visual display units can also be found in business centers’ and hotels. Other communications in the country are radio (the public radio station is WIPR Radio 940), press (English-language tabloid published in the country is The San Juan Star), media (broadcasting is controlled by the US Federal Communications Commission), mobile telephone, post and telephone.

Towns and metropolis of the country are connected by expressways, freeways, highways and roads maintained by the Highways and Transportation Authority. The island's urban area is provided by a metro system (Urban Train) and a public bus transit system. Other types of public transportation include private mini buses (carros públicos) and sea-born ferries.

The international airports in Puerto Rico are Rafael Hernandez Airport (settled in Aguadilla) and Luis Muñoz Marín International Airport (located in Carolina). There are 27 local airports in the country and 9 ship ports in different metropolises across the main island. The largest port in the country is established in San Juan.
