Ciao:

My name is Victoria, I am 21 years old and very interested in relocating to Spain. All my life I have lived between New York City and the surrounding area. IFor the past three years I have studied in Washington, DC at The Catholic University of America (undergad).
Generally speaking, I have experienced many personal troubles and tribulations over the past few years, and eagerly want to restart my (academic) life overseas.
I am partially of Spanish blood, and speak the language conversationally. I passionately aspire to experience the Spanish culture first-hand, which I feel will largely contribute to an achievement of my goals, professionally and otherwise.
Due to unfortunate medical circumstances, this past year's portion of my college transcript contains numerous poor grades (F's & D's); the result being a dramatic drop in my (overall) GPA. I find myself embarrassed to present my transcript for it in no way is representative of my academic capability and/or responsibility.
For this reason I have had great difficulty in admittance to several student abroad programs. I have found that most American (USA) programs hold applicants to a GPA minimum requirement higher than my current.
This being the case, I am now looking into international student opportunities in Spanish undergad universities with intent to eventually graduate with Spanish university bachelor's degree.
I would greatly appreciate suggestions/advice from any college student who has been in a similar position to mine...
I am unfamiliar with the Spanish university admission process, and could really use some guidance.

Thank you very much.

Best,
Victoria E. Collins
