Chemistry

Chemists are architects. Chemists deal with the make-up of non-living things, from fabrics to oil and petrol to the stratosphere, basically, everything that we can see and touch. A chemist’s “building blocks” are molecules and particles. Suffolk University’s chemistry major program is a concentrated, lab-based syllabus, this is combined with unequalled opportunities for independent research in one of the world’s most technically advanced cities. Professors offer important advice if majors apply for National Science Foundation Fellowships. These fellowships allow majors to take part in funded research projects during the summer. Suffolk chemistry graduates continue on to work in hospitals and labs around the world, others take up graduate degrees in medicine and forensics.
