Ibero-American Studies

The Ibero-American studies minor is offered at Saint Louis University's campus in Madrid and is created for students who want to enrich their undergraduate degree with a multi-disciplinary instruction of the Spanish and Portuguese speaking world. A total of six classes in economics, sociology, history, political science, Spanish and Latin American literature, and Portuguese are required for the Ibero-American Studies Program. Students complete two semesters at SLU's campus in Madrid, at least one of the history, social science and humanities classes must be taught in Spanish. Students must take between six and nine credit hours of history, six and nine credit hours of humanities and social sciences, and three and six credit hours of language and literature of approved options at SLU Madrid.
