Information Technology Management

Saint Louis University’s Information Technology Management major examines the function of web-based and object-oriented information technologies and progresses the logical thinking and problem-solving skills needed to prosper in a constant changing IT landscape. IT management courses at SLU require teamwork, wide-ranging practical projects and use of highly developed computer technology. Offered at the Richard A. Chaifetz School of Business, students study database management, data networking, computer security, systems analysis, system design, graphical user interface and website design. SLU’s ITM major requires 18 credits of coursework as well as “ITM 2000: Information Technology with Supply Chains.” There are nine credits of coursework needed and another nine credits of electives. SLU’s information technology management minor needs 12 credits of upper-level classes as well as “ITM 2000: Information Technology with Supply Chains.”
