Postgraduate Course in Retail Design

The Postgraduate Course in Retail Design program at IED Madrid is a study program that enables students with specialized learning for careers in designing retail space. Students in this program learn how to master the art of designing commercial space for businesses that conveys brand, consistency and a positive shopping experience. Students in this program become experts on the technical and creative design processes in retail designing by studying consumer trends, visual merchandising, lighting, brand implementation and how to develop and execute design plans, This program is specifically for students with an interest in creating effective retail spaces. Career projections include retail designer, freelance designer, or head of visual merchandising and branding for companies.

Undergraduate Degrees take four years to complete or 240 credits. Foundation Courses take one year to complete or 60 credits.

The admission requirements for IED Madrid vary by program. Students are encouraged to follow the requirements of the specific program of their interest. Generally, students complete the online application, complete an admission interview in-person or via Skype, and pay all fees. Non-EU students must have a valid passport and student visa. Students from a Member State of the EU or another State party to the Agreement on the European Economic Area or Switzerland must obtain a Union Citizen Registry. Documents from other countries must be translated into Castilian or co-official language of the territory where the application is submitted unless otherwise noted.
