With 220 students and a student: teacher ratio of 6:1, Gould students benefit from teachers and coaches who know them well and provide individualized teaching that supports a variety of learning styles. A demanding curriculum, including honors and AP courses in many subjects, independent study, and comprehensive college counseling, prepares our students for attendance at the finest colleges and universities. In the dormitories, boarding students benefit from the presence of adult dorm faculty who provide a nurturing, safe environment and caring supervision. Gould offers a full complement of performing and visual arts electives including, but not limited to, dance, theater, band, chorus, pottery, photography, printmaking, blacksmithing, and silversmithing. Gould students also select from a wide array of athletic and extra-curricular options, including traditional sports such as soccer and lacrosse, as well as non-traditional offerings such as the Farm and Forest program, skateboarding, and rock climbing.
