The Culture Centre for Foreigners organises courses in Italian culture and language all the year round. The students who can enrol for the courses can be foreign students regularly enrolled in a foreign university or owever having a degree that qualifies them to attend the University courses. Students who have attend the courses regularly and passed the final examinations, can obtain a Certificate of Attendance. The teaching of the Italian language, which consists of 60 hours for the summer period and 120 for the other ones (about 25 hours a week), has the following levels: elementary (beginner, there isn't a language requirement), medium, medium advanced and advanced. The Spring Course is from 4th April to 16th June 2005, the Summer Course is from 29th June to 3rd august 2005, the Autumn Course is from 3rd October to 14th December 2005 and the Winter Course is from 9th January to 17th march 2006. The fees are 500 Euro for the spring course and 350 for the summer course (they will be probably higher from autumn 2005). For admission to the courses students must forward the following at least 15 days before the opening date: 1. An application made out on the form supplied by the Secretary or downloadable from the web site: www.unifi.it/unifi/ccs/; 2. A certificate or certified copy of your high school; 3. Two passport photos; 4. Receipt of payment of the fee may be paid: a) in cash, directly to the Secretary at the Centre; b) Or by cheque or money-order made out to the "Centro di Cultura per Stranieri", via di Boldrone 2, 50141 Firenze, with the applicant's name and surname clearly indicate and the period for which you wish to enrol; c) Or send from abroad to: Banca Toscana via del Corso 6, 50122 Firenze (SWIFT Code: TOSCIT 3F200 - c/c 95002/81 - cod. Iban IT 75 Y 03400 02800 000009500281), with the applicant's name and surname clearly indicate and the period for which you wish to enrol. About accommodation we have a list, available for students, of families who take paying guest, to all of which the students must apply directly.

Il Centro di Cultura per Stranieri accoglie studenti stranieri interessati a conoscere, migliorare e perfezionare la lingua e la cultura italiana. Ai corsi possono iscriversi stranieri regolarmente iscritti in una Università straniera o comunque in possesso di un titolo di studio che li abiliti alla frequenza dei corsi universitari. L'iscrizione è subordinata alla presentazione di apposita domanda corredata dalla ricevuta del pagamento delle tasse d'iscrizione, il certificato d'iscrizione viene richiesto dalle Ambasciate Italiane per rilasciare il Visto. Alla fine di ciascun corso gli iscritti possono ottenere dal Centro un attestato di frequenza. L'insegnamento della lingua italiana, che consiste in 60 ore per il ciclo estivo e 120 per quelli invernale, primaverile e autunnale, prevede i seguenti livelli: elementare, medio, medio avanzato e superiore. I prossimi corsi organizzati dal Centro sono i seguenti: · Corso Autunnale, dal 3 Ottobre al 14 Dicembre 2005; · Corso Invernale, dal 9 Gennaio al 17 Marzo 2006; · Corso Primaverile, dal 3 Aprile al 16 Giugno 2006; · Corso Estivo, dal 3 luglio al 4 Agosto 2006. Le tasse d'iscrizione sono 500 ? per il corso primaverile 2005 e 350 per quello estivo, ma aumenteranno dal corso autunnale 2005. L'iscrizione va effettuata entro 15 giorni dall'inizio del corso: 1) tramite il modulo scaricabile da compilare e spedire via fax o via posta ordinaria; o compilando il modulo direttamente on-line sul sito www.unifi.it/unifi/ccs/; 2) aggiungendo copia autenticata del titolo di studio in lingua italiana o inglese o francese o tedesca; 3) due fotografie formato tessera; 4) la quota d'iscrizione può essere versata: a) in contanti presso la segreteria del Centro; b) tramite assegno o vaglia intestato alla segreteria del Centro di Cultura per Stranieri, (non si accettano eurocheques) indicando chiaramente il nome e cognome e il periodo dell' iscrizione; c) oppure inviato dall'estero alla Banca Toscana, Tesoreria dell'Università, via del Corso 6 - 50122 - Firenze C/C 95002/81 codice IBAN IT 75 Y 03400 02800 000009500281 SWIFT TOSC IT 3F200 Italia, indicando chiaramente il nome e cognome ed il periodo dell'iscrizione. Quanto all'alloggio, la segreteria fornisce agli studenti una lista di camere in affitto presso famiglie italiane.
