| No e-mail available | | Descripción | | It is with the utmost pleasure and with the most sincere gratitude that I address our readers, who chose to consult the Site of our University. Our University is now ninety five years’ old, but before being called a university, it existed since 1857 in the form of faculties and institutes subservient to French universities.
This University went through two major stages: first, the period of the French occupation of Algeria, when this Institution bore a colonial stamp, in the service of French interests, a period in which its only beneficiaries were actually the children of settlers; then came the post-independence period, when the University started shouldering a noble mission, the training of the needed cadres required in all the fields by our homeland. For a long time, this University remained the sole existing one throughout Algeria.
The object of this site is to provide readers with information concerning the historical growth of this University as well as with all other pertinent data, to fulfil their curiosity about the specialties covered by its teaching, about the scientific research conducted in its laboratories, about the degrees conferred by its various faculties and departments, about the conditions for enrolment in it, about the modalities for registration, about its scientific publications and all related activities.

Elle forme fonctionnaires, enseignants, cadres et chercheurs pour tous les secteurs d’activité. Par sa vocation humaine et sociale, elle reflète l’évolution des valeurs et des aspirations du pays. Elle représente un atout majeur d’expérience, d’expertise et de recherche. Acteur de premier plan dans le développement socio-économique du pays, elle se fonde sur un important capital de compétence et d’expertise dans le domaine de l’enseignement, de la formation, et de la recherche.
