Descripción
The overall objective of the University shall be to provide (through the dissemination of knowledge and the advancement of learning and the granting of awards), for the economic and cultural development of this Our Kingdom and to promote the cultural enrichment, personal development and well being of our people. More specifically the objectives of the University shall be · to develop and provide programmes of study at tertiary education level, of relevance and good quality, which will fulfill the needs of the country for an educated and skilled population · to promote and conduct research, to contribute to the creation of knowledge in an international context and to promote the transfer of knowledge of relevance to Bhutan. Tertiary Education Tertiary education is defined as education offered subsequent to class XII, consistent with the International Standard Classification of Education, 1997 for levels 5 and above.
