| No e-mail available | | Description | | As one of the oldest universities in Indonesia, the University of Indonesia (UI) has pride its reputation which is established by its outstanding learning in 12 faculties, one graduate school and qualified graduates who have been very influential in the country’s history. Since its establishment in 1950, UI has continued to grow and flourish. Today UI remains a dynamic centre of excellence for research and learning, attracting more than 30.000 Indonesian and international students. Most international students come from Korea, Japan, China, ASEAN countries, Taiwan, Turkey, India, Canada, USA, Australia and other countries. As one of Indonesia’s leading universities, students are at the centre of the latest knowledge and method, taught by staff at the forefront of their disciplines.
As part of international community, UI has actively cooperated with other international universities and instititutions in the areas of teaching, research, consultations and exchange of students and staff. It also has a strong link with embassies and industry.
This prospectus (which is also available in electronic form at http://www.ui.ac.id) describes the range of taught programmes offered at UI and the areas of research which we can offer supervision, admission procedures, and living in UI and Indonesia. It also provides contact details and the address of the faculty’s website if you need further information or would like to discuss your study with a member or staff.

| | Alternate language description | | Universitas Indonesia, yang secara resmi berdiri sejak tanggal 2 Februari 1950, mempunyai latar belakang sejarah yang unik. Awalnya dikenal dengan Universiteit van Indonesie yang didirikan oleh pemerintah Belanda pada tahun 1946. Karena Indonesia mendapatkan kemerdekaan pada tahun 1945, maka pemerintah Belanda menyerahkan universitas tersebut kepada pemerintah Indonesia pada tahun 1950 dan sejak itu dinamakan Universitas Indonesia.
