| No e-mail available | | Descripción | | Dohuk University was founded on the 31st of October 1992, when Baghdad regime (the oppressive regime of Saddam Hussein) issued a decree preventing the Kurdish high school graduated from admission into the Iraqi universities. At that time, the capacity of Salahaddin University in Arbil was not enough to cover the total number of students to sustain their study. Therefore, the parliament of Kurdistan Region issued a decree to establish a university in Dohuk city. At the beginning of its establishment, it included two colleges, college of medicine and college of agriculture. The total number of the students for that year was (48) students in the medical college and (166) students in the college of agriculture. The aim of external relations and international cooperation is to pursue global recruitment of faculty and students, international research collaborations, institutional alliances and consortia, student exchange programs, distant learning programs, executive education programs and education technology transfer.
Dohuk University believes that cooperation is essential for rapid progress of worldwide information connectivity and growing international educational integration. Our University wants to forge strong relation with distinguished and outstanding universities and scientific centers through bilateral agreements and exchange programs.
