| No hay e-mail disponible | | Descripción | | Environmental problems, such as global warming, destruction of forests, acid rain, air, water, and soil pollutions, are the most serious problems that we face today.
We also face difficulties in school life today with increasing number of emotionally unstable students, school refusal, bullying, violence, etc., and they are becoming serious social issues. One of the reasons of these problems is attributed to the fact that our children are not having enough opportunities to do activities and love nature, namely, 'Children's Detachment From Nature '. However, we do not have sufficient number of instructors specializing in environmental education and are in need of them in Japan.
To meet the demands of these social issues, Graduate School of Environmental Sciences, Aomori University, was established in 1999 and its academic subjects include social, humanities, and natural sciences. The school provides comprehensive classes and aims for the students to attain wider ranges of knowledge in environmental issues.
