| No hay e-mail disponible | | Descripción | | The Samar State University is one of the state institutions of higher learning that is mandated to provide higher vocational, professional and technological instruction and training in the fields of education, industry, agriculture, fishery, engineering and sciences, as well as short-term vocational-technical continuing courses, and promoting research and extension activities that would advance the socio-economic development and improve the quality of life of the people of Samar Province. It has a role to train students to become responsible individuals to excel in their fields of specialization through efficient and effective instruction, research, extension and production activities.
In essence, Research and Development in the context of the mission statement is an integral function of the University as it carries out its existing programs and thrusts to respond to the emerging goals for national leadership through curricular reforms and redirection. It is therefore task to lead this function that would contribute to the development of Samar Province despite the limited resources of the University.
