| No e-mail available | | Description | | The first appearance of the university of Mosul was in 1959 when the college of Medicine began its first course in Mosul .Yet the official appearance of the university as a real educational establishment was on the 1st of April 1967 when University Law No. 14 issued to establish an Iraqi University under the name of the University of Mosul. During the past years ,the University expanded to include 20 colleges ,7 research centers ,6 consultant offices ,5 clinics and hospitals , 6 museums , and a number of artistic and administrative enterprises .
The University of Mosul tries to realize the aims of higher education in Iraq including preparing scientifically high qualified national staff in 100 specializations as well as supporting the movement of scientific research and serving society . As for staff preparing ,the university awards certificates in B. Sc. ,B.A, Professional & High Diploma , M. Sc. , M.A, and PH.
