While embracing the rapid transformation brought about by membership of the E.U. and the forthcoming monetary union, the city, reclining over her seven hills, still retains an elegance and charm redolent of her proud past. Linguas e Linguas School of Languages would like to extend a warm welcome to all visitors and invite them to share in the delights that Lisbon has to offer.
The school is perfectly situated on the fringes of the Bairro Alto, one of Lisbon’s oldest and best-known neighbourhoods. By day, you will find a tranquil haven from the hustle and bustle of the city, as the elderly residents call across the narrow streets to exchange gossip. Perched on a hill, the area offers expansive views of the rest of the city, the river Tejo idling by, and the hills of Arrabida beyond. As night falls, however, the Bairro Alto reveals another face when the scores of convivial bars and excellent restaurants open their doors, and strangers and locals alike throng to the labyrinth of streets to enjoy the unique and vibrant blend of nightlife.
A mere 2 minutes walk form the nearest Metro station, and amply provided with buses (not to mention the funicular trains creeping up the dizzying inclines), the school’s central location makes it easy to take in the sights and sounds of the heart of Lisbon. Linguas e Linguas offers students the chance to take tours of the city, and can arrange accommodation, from 5-star hotels to family homes. While we specialize in Portuguese for foreigners, courses in English, French, German and a variety of other languages are available.
Our teachers provide first-rate, professional tuition in an informal and friendly environment, and take pleasure in guiding students around town, helping them to discover those special corners which the tourist buses pass by, and to find out what it is that makes visitors want to return here, again and again.
| | Descripción en otro idioma | | A LÍNGUAS E LÍNGUAS constitui, há já alguns anos, a mais completa organização de ensino de línguas em Lisboa. Foi formada por um grupo de professores com ampla experiência de ensino e direcção pedagógica noutras escolas de línguas.
Após 20 anos de ligação às escolas internacionais inlingua, a LÍNGUAS E LÍNGUAS dissociou-se este ano, mantendo, no entanto, os mesmos professores e as mesmas características pedagógicas.
Assente numa ideia da língua como veículo de comunicação, da mais simples ideia a toda uma cultura, no Falar como quem vê, a LÍNGUAS E LÍNGUAS especializou-se no ensino do português como língua estrangeira, num método de ensino profissional mas descontraído, baseado no diálogo entre professor e aluno, sempre na língua leccionada, promovendo um raciocínio intuitivo dentro da língua para uma aprendizagem rápida e directa, comprovada pelos nossos clientes, cuja lista, por ser extensa, apresentamos à parte.
Oferece também outros cursos, num vasto leque de línguas estrangeiras, onde se observa o mesmo método, rigor e profissionalismo aplicados no ensino do português.
De acordo com o interesse do cliente, a escola poderá, através dos seus professores, facultar ainda o acesso aos espaços e à cultura da cidade e do país.
