We believe that Allan Hancock College is a place to continue your education and go anywhere your imagination will take you. At Allan Hancock College you can begin your work for a university (baccalaureate) degree or obtain the vocational training you need to get a job in today’s fast-paced job market. Allan Hancock College provides a great college education in a small-town environment.
As a community college, Allan Hancock College offers international students a number of advantages. For example, it offers the first two years of a university degree at a very affordable price. Most courses transfer seamlessly to four-year universities throughout the United States. Allan Hancock College has even arranged for guaranteed and/or preferential admission for its students to many California colleges and universities, including the University of California, Santa Barbara; University of California, Davis; University of California, Santa Cruz; and the California State University, Fresno, among others.
If, however, you are interested in acquiring the skills necessary to move directly into a career, you can train in one of our many vocational programs, including nursing, computers, medical assisting, computer graphics/animation, environmental technology, multimedia, machine technology, law enforcement, fire fighting, and many, many others. Our classes prepare students to enter the career of their choice.
You will love studying in Santa Maria. Allan Hancock College is located on California’s scenic Central Coast, about midway between the cities of Los Angeles and San Francisco. Santa Maria, with a population of about 85,000, is bordered by the hills of the Los Padres National Forest, the Pacific Ocean, and large agricultural fields that produce some of the world’s finest vegetables and gourmet wine grapes. Temperatures range from 55 to 80 degrees year-round.
