Description
HAMK is a multidisciplinary university of applied sciences with 23 degree programmes and 7,200 students. It offers broad-based, high-quality education, research and development, and strong internationalisation. We have units in seven locations in southern Finland. HAMK will increase the number of degree programmes taught in English by the year 2008. At the moment we offer two degree programmes taught entirely in English: International Business (Valkeakoski) and Mechanical Engineering and Production Technology (Riihimäki). There are plans to start a new English degree programme in Construction Engineering (Hämeenlinna) in the following semester 2006–2007. Apart from degree-awarding education, we also organise for international exchange students International Semester courses, which are lectured in English (www.hamk.fi/international/studying/inter_ semester.html).
