Abilene Christian University (ACU) is a private university, founded in 1906. The school is based in Abilene, Texas and is also affiliated with Churches of Christ. The university is organized into the colleges of Arts and Sciences, Biblical Studies, Business Administration, Education and Human Services, the Graduate School, the Graduate School of Theology, the School of Information Technology and Computing, the School of Social Work, and the Patty Hanks Shelton School of Nursing. It receives about 4,500 students from across the USA and 60 other nations.
