What is CELL? The Center for Ecological Living and Learning (CELL) is a nonprofit educational organization inspiring students (our future leaders) to bring creative, systemic solutions and environmental stewardship to their individual lives and leadership positions. About CELL’s Study Abroad Programs Are you interested in learning how to live sustainably while being of service to others? Are you interested in making a real difference in the world while studying abroad? Would you like to take a leadership role in encouraging local and global sustainability? Our interdisciplinary study abroad programs will inspire you with a new vision of what is possible and will spur you to become the change you wish to see in the world. Our study abroad programs focus on sustainability through community and will inspire you with a new vision of what is possible. They will transform how you look at yourself and your global community – while providing opportunities for you to be of service to others. Although our programs have a sustainability theme, they are interdisciplinary by design and will fit any major or program of study. About the Iceland Program CELL’s Iceland Program will introduce you to one of the most remote, geologically unique, and environmentally friendly countries in the world. You will learn by doing, while integrating classroom knowledge with real-life applications. You will make a real difference by helping the Solheimar eco-village to become increasingly self-reliant through sustainable practices.
