Central Community College is an educational institution with numerous campus locations, serving a 25-county area in central Nebraska. The central administration of the college is based in Grand Island, while three main campuses are situated in Columbus, Grand Island and Hastings; moreover, there are educational centers in Holdrege, Kearney, and Lexington. Central Community College has made available 33 career and technical education programs with special emphasis on degree, diploma and certificate programs, which only require two years or less to complete. Furthermore, the college provides an academic transfer program for students, who wish to complete the first two years of a bachelor’s degree before transferring to a 4-year college or university. CCC has applied a range of distance learning techniques to ensure educational services in some 90 communities in its service area.
