The CES Escuela Superior de Imagen y Sonido, or the “CES School of Image and Sound,” is the first official accredited school in the Madrid region in the sector of audiovisual education and training.  It is also the most recognized audiovisual academy in Spain today.

History

In 1984, a group of recognized professionals of sound, image and education came together to respond to a growing demand for more audiovisual training and decided to form the CES Escuela Superior de Imagen y Sonido(CES School of Image Sound).  Today, the school’s reputation for excellence and its recognized professionalism has enabled the institution to impart training plans for many major Spanish companies in the sector, among them:

  • TELECINCO
  • TVE
  • ANTENA 3
  • TELEMADRID
  • CANAL SUR
  • NATIONAL RADIO OF SPAIN
  • TELSON
  • AUDIOVISUAL ASSOCIATION OF ANDALUSIA
  • And many more

Along with the training the institution provides for students and professionals in the audiovisual industry, CES also features the latest equipment, nearly 5,000 square meters of facility space and the latest audiovisual technology—the same technology that is employed by the various businesses and organizations in this growing sector.

Quality and Certifications

The CES Escuela Superior de Imagen y Sonido understands that merely saying they offer quality education and training is not enough; they must prove it with the various qualifications and certifications the institution holds.  And prove it they can.

The CES School of Image and Sound possesses Spain’s ISO 9001 certification, issued by the company BSA, which qualifies the school to impart a wide range of training, including formal training, vocational certification programs and continuing education credits.  The ISO 9001 certification also represents proof that the various programs offered by the CES Escuela Superior de Imagen y Sonido are of the highest quality and taught by instructors who have achieved the proper academic degree and vocational training to work with and educate emerging audiovisual professionals.

Since 2005, the CES Escuela Superior de Imagen y Sonido has also served as an “AVID Mentor,” which means that all academic and vocational training programs are developed according to AVID standards and taught by highly qualified teachers.

The CES Escuela Superior de Imagen y Sonido has the full approval of the Ministry of Education and Culture of the Community Madrid to impart middle and higher grade vocational training.  The school also has the full support of the Regional Employment Service in Madrid to offer free courses for unemployed individuals, and is currently managing the ATC (Authorized Training Center) certification, one of the most important and prestigious in the sector.

The CES School of Image and Sound is a participating member of the AITE (Association of Spanish Audiovisual Technical Industries), a non-profit professional organization that brings together audiovisual professionals in the country with the aim of creating productions and assisting filming, postproduction and distribution companies.
