China Programs

China Programs is an independent educational organization, dedicated to the design and implementation of China-related educational initiatives for high school students around the world. The programs offered are three: Exploring a Vast & Complex Country (it may be of particular interest to those who want to learn travel writing, or who may be interested in China Studies); Learning about Shanghai and Beijing (suitable for students, who may want to explore or develop their interest in oral history, cultural anthropology, journalism, or China Studies); and Dimensions of China. The latter program is not for everyone, as it is not a typical immersion program. It has the purpose to introduce students to the multi-faceted reality in contemporary China, encouraging them to expand their cultural awareness, and preparing interested students for further China Studies and potentially China–related careers.
