Description

Colorado State University residing in Fort Collins, Colorado came into existence in 1870. The campus sits on 5000 acres of land, which encompasses the main campus, foothills campus, an agricultural campus and a mountain campus (Pingree Park). In addition, Colorado State has 4,600 acres for research facilities, corporate offices and Colorado State forest service stations. CSU maintains world-class standard research in infectious disease, atmospheric science, cancer research, clean energy technology and environmental science. US News ranked CSU 124 of 262 among the best national universities in the United States. Finally, the professional Veterinary Medicine program is placed third nationally by US News and is top-ranked in the whole nation in central (federal) research dollars.
