Coppin State University (CSU) was established in 1900 in Baltimore, Maryland, United States. Coppin is associated with the University System of Maryland. It is endorsed by Middle States Association of Colleges and School and Teacher Education and by National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education granted by Department of Education of Maryland. CSU is famous for its Basketball as the Coppin Eagles participate in the NCAA Division I and the Mid-East Athletic convention. Moreover, in 2008 Coppin was the Basketball champion in MEAC championship. CSU has seven units: Art & Science, Education, Nursing, Professional Studies, Graduate Studies, Management Science & Economics and Honors College. CSU has an academic resources centre, IT student centre & Blackboard (a learning management system) to help students learn better.
