The English Language Teaching Centre (ELTC) is one of the biggest university English language centres in the UK. It is part of Student Services at the University of Sheffield and offers a good variety of English language courses and services for University students and the public. The Centre is accredited by the British Council; it is also authorised by the University of Cambridge ESOL as an exam centre and for teaching awards. Example courses available include University English, Management English, International Summer School, as well as special options. Part time English language support and ESOL preparation is available, too. The ELTC is especially proud with its modern facilities, well-equipped computer labs and advanced audio-visual equipment.
