IELTS means the International English Language Testing System. It is an English test used as a proof of English language proficiency. It was one of the pioneers in the field, developed 21 years ago. IELTS is jointly owned by the British Council and IDP. More than 1.4 people take the test each year with the purpose to further their knowledge and gain international education or employment. IELTS is well-known medium for checking the level of English acquired and is recognized by more than 6000 institutions in over 135 countries.
