Jacksonville University (JU) is a private university in Jacksonville, Florida, offering over 70 majors and programs at the undergraduate level as well as several Master's programs. The school was founded in 1934 as a two year college. It is a member of the Independent Colleges and Universities of Florida and is accredited by Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS) as well as the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business.

Jacksonville University also has a dedicated department for International Education Programs. These include study abroad, volunteer abroad, and intern abroad opportunities at various destinations. The programs are specifically designed to support the various aims of students – whether they wish to enhance their current studies in a foreign country (language), or change their academic path; whether they wish to improve their language skills or help a local community. For all opportunities offered, IEP partners with reputable universities overseas, and courses are mostly taught in English. In non-English speaking destinations, advanced language students are provided the choice of taking classes in the native language. All study programs are accredited by Jacksonville University.
