Kaplan University is a distance-learning institution of higher learning, established in 1937, as American Institute of Commerce. It awards bachelor’s, associate’s, and master’s degrees in the fields of education, business, arts, sciences, information technology, nursing, health care, criminal justice, and law. Online student support centers of the university are located in Florida, Illinois, and Arizona. The programs that the school offers have been developed and assessed by faculty, staff, and members of educational, professional, and business communities. It is regionally accredited by the Higher Learning Commission and is a member of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools.
