Macquarie University is an Australian public teaching and research university, founded in 1964, and located in Sydney, with its main campus situated in Macquarie Park. The university comprises four faculties, enrolling approximately 35,000 students. It is known to have the largest student exchange program in Australia.

International students who choose to study abroad at Macquarie University have the opportunity to spend either one or two semesters there. Furthermore, they can personalize their curriculum in order to receive full academic credit at their home university. Study Abroad students are also eligible to undertake an unpaid internship during the course of their studies, which will equip them with an invaluable learning experience, exposing them to the Australian business and cultural environment.
