Mekelle University
Mekelle University was established in 2000 through the merger of Mekelle Business College and Mekelle University College. Currently, it is an autonomous institution of higher education, located in the town of Mekelle in Tigray region of Northern Ethiopia. The university offers degrees through the following faculties: College of Dry Land and Agriculture; College of Business and Economics; College of Humanities and Languages; College of Natural and Computational sciences; College of Law and Governance; Institute of Pedagogical sciences; College of Veterinary Science; College of Health Sciences; and Ethiopian Institute of Technology – Mekelle. Overall, 23 thousand students are enrolled in the regular, continuing education programme, summer, evening, distance education and in-service programs.
