Saint Louis University is a private, co-educational Jesuit university established in 1818. It is a member of the Association of Jesuit Colleges and Universities, and is the oldest university west of the Mississippi river. The institution offers undergraduate programs, graduate and professional degrees, as well as adult education majors and programs. Saint Louis’ students come from all 50 states and 75 countries, while its undergraduate program is currently ranked 88th in the 2010 and 70th in the 2011U.S. News and World Report rankings. The school also has a campus in Madrid, Spain, where about 600 students attend classes. Saint Louis is accredited by the North Central Association of Colleges and Secondary Schools.
