Universidad Carlos III De Madrid is a relatively new public institution, which recently celebrated its 20th birthday. The undergraduate program of the school was the first in the country to be fully aligned with the requirements of the European Higher Education Area (The Bologna Process). The school is highly committed to being an international institution and every year they welcome students and faculty to participate in numerous exchange programs: Erasmus, Erasmus-Mundus, International Exchange, and Hispanic Studies. Carlos III also offers bilingual undergraduate programs, masters and PhD programs in English, and a bunch of academic mobility agreements for students and faculty.
Carlos III has three campuses, and the one in Getafe is situated just 10km away from Madrid. The School of Social Sciences and Law and the School of Humanities, Documentation and Communication are located on the grounds of the Getafe campus.
