The University of Barcelona is a Spanish public university, which history goes back to 1450. As can be guessed, it is located in the city of Barcelona, Catalonia in Spain. The institution is a recognized member of the Coimbra Group, LERU, European University Association, Mediterranean Universities Union, International Research Universities Network, and Joan Lluís Vives Institute. It offers 75 undergraduate programs, 353 graduate programs, and 96 doctorate programs to over 63,700 students. Furthermore, the University of Barcelona has over 1,500 agreements with over 600 universities worldwide, welcoming over 1,600 students to its exchange programs. The school is especially known for its strength in the Arts & Humanities, Life Sciences & Biomedicine, and Natural Sciences.
